A tagger for the Torlak dialect available

Upcoming workshop in Zurich -> postponed
In collaboration with several other projects from the Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Zurich, the TraCeBa project will organise a workshop Empirical Approaches to Linguistic Variation in the Balkans (working title). The workshop will take place at the University of Zurich, 26-27 May 2020.
New round of fieldwork in Serbia completed
Between 27 June and 1 July 2019, members of the Serbian team completed a new round of data collection in Lužnica.
Fieldwork preparations for the summer of 2019
The Serbian and Russian teams will be doing new rounds of data collection in Serbia and Bulgaria in late June and in July 2019. The focus will be on places for which sufficiently large speech samples are still missing.
Conference presentations in Belgrade
On 6 May 2019 members of the Serbian team gave three talks at the conference Digital Humanities and Slavic Cultural Heritage, held at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade.
Project meetings and conference in Saint Petersburg
Between 18 and 27 March 2019 the TraCeBa team held a series of project meetings in Saint Petersburg. In addition, the team members presented a total of six papers at the XLVIII International Philological Conference.
