Dr. Maja Miličević Petrović (local co-ordinator)

Maja Miličević Petrović is an associate professor in the Department of General Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She completed her BA in the Department of Italian Language and Literature within the same institution, and then proceeded to do an MPhil and a PhD in English and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge (UK). Her research interests include corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, linguistic analysis of translations, non-standard language, and research methods in linguistics.

Dr. Biljana Sikimić

Biljana Sikimić is a senior researcher at the Institute for Balkan Studies in Belgrade. She completed her BA in the Department of Spanish Language and Literature and Romanian Language and Literature within the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, and then proceeded to do an MPhil and a PhD in Linguistics at the same institution. Her research interests include Balkan linguistics, anthropological linguistics, folklore studies and fieldwork methodology.

Dr. Svetlana Ćirković

Svetlana Ćirković is a senior research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She completed her BA and MPhil in the Department of Serbian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade (Serbia). In 2011 she completed her PhD in Philology at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade (Serbia). Her research interests include Balkan linguistics, Romani linguistics, endangered languages, language documentation, linguistic anthropology, and non-verbal communication.

Dr. Mirjana Mirić

Mirjana Mirić is a research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Belgrade). She completed her BA and MPhil in the Department of General Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade (Serbia) and obtained the Certificate of the Specialization in Linguistics at the University of Geneva (Switzerland). In 2016 she completed her PhD in Linguistics at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš (Serbia). Her research interests include Balkan linguistics, Romani linguistics, language acquisition, bilingualism, corpus linguistics, and quantitative methods in linguistics.
